does anyone have a solution for the bit of steering wheel play i have?it feels too "muchy", like a jello version of a proper steering. I have noticed that newer ITR's have very quick and direct steering, it also feels "tighter", I've lost everything close to that. Is it my ball joints? tie rods? steering rack? Should i change bushings? shocks and springs are 3 years old ( illuminas + H&R race), time for new ones? would an alignment do much? Its not that bad, I just want her to be a little tighter. I rarely break 50 miles an hour on exit ramps now or take windy roads like I used to. it's just too imprecise.

what is the life spand of the tie rods?
what is the life spand on illuminas? how would I know if I have a blown shock?

at high speeds, my steering wheel feels so "nervous". I never break 100 now, too unstable. it's loosed like if it was a delayed reaction at turns.

 

Why do you have to post this in the ITR forum too?
