Ok today i go to the acura dealer to get a spare key the reason i went was because when i bought the car they sold it to me with only the valet key. Ok heres where the problem begins i get the key and come outside i take the alarm off and get in the car to see if the key works i put it in the ignition and turn the car on... then i i turn off the car to make sure the key is working right i turn it back on the second time the car turns on and then it dies right away the rmp go straight down and the car turns off... i let the car sit for a couple of seconds and turn it back on and it starts up right away no problem... does anyone know what might be the cause of that.. this weekend i hope to do the following

1 Oil Change
2 Breaks
3 Fuel Filter
4 Spark Plug Wires
5 Distrbutor Cap and Rotors

 

it might be the Distributor Cap and Rotors that has happened to my b/f crx before he sold it...

 

check for water or condensation etc on the electrical stuff..first guess
