Si head
well seeings how anymore you can get a complete b16 short block for 450 id say its a lil steep, i think i sold mine for 350 a cpl months ago
Oh well he allready bought it. Its an OBD0 Jdm Si head. Take a look at the pics and tell me if the cam wear is lookin ok. Very small scratches on them but doesn't look threatening.
Looks like someone allready tried a little porting on the #1

obd 1 gsr, obd1 delsol b16 ecu, jdm b16/p30 ecu. oh and last but not least chipped p28 with dual cam specs.
and back to changing injectors and distributor. if it's going into an obd1 car make sure to use obd1 injectors and obd1 distributor (ex: gsr or delsol b16) and might as well swap out the manifold too for proper locations of sensors. example: skunk2 or type r.
if its an obd2 car use obd2 stuff.

Well since the car is a 98 we're gonna use a Si ecu. How well will this match up with the jdm head. I was also thinking either to get an Si I/m or a skunk2 one. Will a gsr or type r I/M fit?
hey John
bring the head over and I will match the ports with each other.
you can run a OBD2 GSr ECu (ecu I have sitting around) but the optimum will be a P28 chipped (you will need the jumper harness) to run the 99-00 ECU you will need a jumper as well
call me if you have anymore questions

Sup Anthony,
Hey we need to get this baby clean. Know anyone with a valve spring compressor? We have one at work but I don't know if it will work on this head. About the port matching Kev and I were thinking of having the thing ported and polished at Gene quicks he does some bad *** work. We still need to find out what pistons were gonna use with this head also. I don't think we want to high of compression either. And we need something with a larger valve releif for the vtec.

You cant use a 99-00 SI ecu in a 96-98 car. For some odd reason Honda decided to chage the whole dash harness between 98 and 99, so you cant swap an Si ecu in. If you wanna stay obd2 you need to get a GSR ecu or if you wanna spend big bucks get a type r ecu. I would recomend going obd1 and just getting a P28 chipped with the stock ITR program. Ericks racing can hook up the ITR program on the ecu and you should be able to find a P28 for cheap(92-95 civic ex). As far as injectors and dist it doesnt really matter. You can use an obd1 b16 dist or a obd2 b16 dist. The injectors can be whatever you want.

I dont know whats up with your emisions but where i live there are some countys that border mine that dont have emisions laws. So i just use a friends address or get a po box in that county. I dont know how it works where you are though.

Well gsr ecu it is this car's gotta pass inspection.
Guess we'll take yours anthony. Oh and we may be switching the motor from your house to mine soon so we can do the piston work. I'll let you know ahead of time.
