Is there any books on engine building? (Done search, came up with nothing)
I want to learn how to build an engine, but don't know anyone who I could really learn from. I was wondering if there is any books out there thats really detailed on how to build engines. I know I could use my helms manual, but its not as detailed as I need. Like how or when I should use plastigauge, or how to find out what size bearings I need to get, and so on. I am pretty good at doing my own work, and this is something I really want to learn. So can anyone point me in the right direction? Please??? Thanks.
There are several "Honda Builder's hanbook". I have a few of them..

go to the Public Library and read up. Doesn't matter if it's Honda or Chevy...just learn what does what why this needs to be that
I'm taking the hands-on approach. Buy a cheap engine, take it apart and put it back together again. Of course, I will be changing a few things while I'm at it.
Maximum Boost is really good if your wanting any knowledge about FI.
