HP and RAM air intake

The noise from short ram or cold air intakes comes with the territory, it's just a fact, nothing you can do about it (except put the stock box back on). My CAI is loud as hell, but I got used to it.
As far as losing hp, what makes him/you think that, is this according to "butt-dyno" readings? If so, it may be all in his head. Did he reset his ECU after installing the short ram? He should have, if not that may be the problem...

how can i reset the ecu without shorting anything? i have done I/H/E and haven't done this procedure, if this is proven to give better performance how can i do this? thanks in advanced...
