Default Modding a B16A(USDM) EM1

I know most people start of with the basic boltons I/H/E, but when starting off with a stock B16A engine, are there better ways to start modding instead of the basic bolt-ons?

Depends how much money you have. I say start out with a nice clutch and flywheel.

alex brings up an interesting idea. i think it would be pretty cool to see someone build their tranny first...just a stock motor with a super light flywheel/decent strength clutch and a ats 4.9 final drive.

i wonder how much fun it would be to drive something like that...

Yes very interesting..........This car is going to be built mainly for road racing, but I can't help not wanting to add a little extra power and surprize some of the hot shot hondas in my town.

I've gotten other opinions in starting with the fuel system first, injectors, fuel rail and fuel pump.

Wouldn't the engine run too rich if I were to do this first?

For road racing, then yes I would strongly suggest LSD, nice clutch and flywheel set up

I wouldnt suggest doing your fuel system first. Personally I think it would be a waist of money for the time being. If you want to do the fuel system, just swap in an ITR fuel pump and run stock injectors and fuel rail. That will be enough to feed the the motor untill you start doing major mods!

mmmm.....LSD

So is it basically a waste to get the basic boltons in the first place if I'm not going to be modding the engine any further? I'm assuming that the clutch and flywheel setup would be to more benifit to me and my goals. I was looking at Exceedy setups, can anyone else recommend another clutch/flywheel setup?

Just wondering, what are you referring to when you talk about "Major Mods"?[

I believe putting an lsd in your si will put you in a different autocrossing class competing against z06's and ****.
