Default hf->si 'swap'

im doin some research for the hf/std to si swap (d16 no v-tec) as far as the wiring. does anyone know whats involved and what needs to be changed/added?

hf is already mpfi...to run vtec all you need is to add a couple of wires...vtec solenoid, 2nd O2, vtec oil pressure, knock sensor... http://www.hasport.com for more info.

You just need the motor and ecu. Your distributor and harness will swap over to the SI.

the hasport page lists a harness for this conversion. is it necessary or can i use the si harnesses?

an hf isnt a std
std= DX

you either have an hf or a dx

if you have an hf, you can use the hf harness or the si harness, and the si ecu


if you have a dx you will need to convert to mpfi
