SRS light,and brake light question
hey guys,
I just did my auto to manual swap, and put an h22 in my car. When I started the car after swap, the SRS and brake light stayed on. The were NOT on before I started the swap.
All my brake lights work, my master cylinder has plenty of fluid, and all the fuses are good.
All the SRS plugs are pluged in, and all the fuses are good here too.
In the helms it says that if multiply failure lights come on like this then you should check for damage at the underdash fuse box. So I did this, and everything looks fine. I even rewired the alarm just incase it was causing a problem.
Has anyone else had a problem like this? It is annoying the crap out of me
Thanks,
Josh

I think I figured out the SRS part. I forgot to plug the air bags back in after the swap(sometimes I follow the helpms closely, haha. ) I started the car with the connectors undone, and it is my understanding that the light won't go off until you reset the DTS memory. Anyone know where this is done i n a prelude?

what gen prelude? your pics are of a 4th gen, but it's already manual.
You can probably just unplug the battery to reset the memory.

yea it is another 4th gen. I was reading some posts on here, and they said that disconnecting the battery, or the ecu won't do anything to get the SRS light off. You actually have to erase the DTS memory, unfortuanty. These posts were about civics though, anyone know anything about this on ludes?

my 5gen helms has a section about erasing the DTC memory. It involves some kind of service connector that you plug into the harness several times.
You may have something like that for your car too.

yea, I was just reading my helms for my car again, and it never mentions the DTC memory. So I am thinking that maybe that is just a thing with the gen 2 air bag system which started with OBD 2 I think. Unfortuantly I am back at the start I think.
