Default tensioner(sp) nut?!?!?!?

i'm working on a 92 accord. replacing the timing belt. is the tensioner nut always a pita to get off?!?!? it stripped to **** right off the bat. any ideas on how to get this off?

use a quality wrench not one from JC Penny.

Craftsman makes a set of sockets that are designed to grip bolts with a stripped head. they kind of have like little blades on them that dig into the bolt head.
