Default 9lb chromoly flywheel on 02 4dr I4 Accord with boost ( daily driver )

I'd just like some opinions/personal experience on this setup.

I'd like to get a steel flywheel around 10-12lbs but no companies are making them for my ride, so it seems like I'll have to get a 9lb one. This is my daily driver, and may never see track life. I'd like to know if 9lbs would be too light and effect my daily drive in a bad way when i finally get boosted. I know it will help now since I'm NA, but when boosted, would it be more of a pain then a plus.

Just like some thoughts.

You can get you stock flywheel lightened to ~12lbs. Just make sure they balance it.

Since I don't know of any machine shops in the area, I was going to go with a aftermarket part. So you think 9lbs would be too light?

I've got a 9lb chromoly fw I love it you lose a little low end (below 3k) but above that response and revs are increased

I personally believe that 9lb flywheel on 2.3liter accord is too light. you will probably have problems keeping the car on if you let it rev down too fast. (not something you want to worry about if daily driver) I have seen some 12lb flywheels for accords but I forgot who made them

I agree... 9 lb is too light... revs drop like a rock once you hit the clutch.

I am thinking I was going that route until I had some experience with one that light... and it is tooo much hassle cruising for me to like it.

my 2 cents but keep looking, it will be cool now but in a few it will take its toll on you and your patience.
