******What Should I Do?******
I bought an LS tranny from a fellow H-T member.....He said that there's nothing wrong with it......But when I recieved the tranny..there's a lil. crack at the end part of the housing causing it to drip oil.....I emailed him telling him about it...but he said that the tranny he shipped didn't have that crack..and told me that it's the FedEx's fault...I'm not blaming him or FedEx cause I'n don't know for sure...He said that it's insured....
So, what do you guys think i should do?

who did he ship it through, did he have the package insured.
Sometimes the shipping company does damage stuff when in transit.
Was the packaging good, or bad. It all makes a difference.
Sometimes the shipping company will pay if the package was properly packaged in the first place

The packing wasn't all that great...It was wrapped with plastic and filled the box with some of those lil foam thingy....
It was shipped through FEDEX ground....
And what if it was FedEx's fault...what would they do if I bring it to them?

if it is insured what is the value? make sure it is insure cause if not fedex can't do anything about it! call fedex and tell them the situation cause i sometime have to do this from my work company.
but also was the package damage at the time you recieved? cause after you signed for the shipment without checking the packeage and have the driver make note of it, they won't really refund or pay you for the damage
hope this help alittle
