There is alot of difference between the Softest to the Stiffest setting.... But the stiffest isnt that stiff in my opinion.

I have mine set on 4 in the front and I think 5 in the rear. My front is set at the highest cuz I have an h22 in there. Theres a pretty good difference between the stiffness. I like the shocks alot and have not had any problems with them. For the amount of money I feel that got my moneys worth out of them.

i have the agx's mated with prelude ground controls... the settings only go from 1 to 4 and yes, i notice a large difference between them. 1 feels somewhat like stock, or like a tokico blue... the 4 is very stiff, but drivable. i love them, fits my needs.

The KYB's will do the job just fine but if you plan on going any lower than 2" I wouldnt recomend them since they tend to blow when the car is that low.

how stiff they can get is related to your spring rates too.i hope no one makes the assumption they are gonna feel a drastic stiff ride with some over the counter generic daily driving spring rates.

match your spring rates accordingly.
