i was taking the oil filter out of the box and i dropped it... has a minor little dent on the top and i was wondering if it was ok... just kinda freaked thats all

 

it should be fine as long as there are no cracks or holes in it(very unlikely) the worst that will happen is you leak some oil and have to replace it. throw it on clan the bottom of the car from any spilled oil and run it for like 5 min on some clean ground, then move the car and look for oil spots and look at the oil filter to see if it is leaking. not much will happen from an oil leak that small, unless you drive it with a leak for the whole 3k miles, even then it probibly wouldn't do much.

sorry to derail the whole post but should i use honda MTF for my d tranny... the manuel says i should use just motor oil...

 

use honda mtf
