what is the offest of OEM piston rings for a d16a6??? please help me!!!!!

ok. i found out it is either..... OS 0.25 or OS 0.50
anyone know which one?

The D16a6 can be bored over twice. You go .25 over first then .50. You can do either but most people who want thieir motor to last another oversize will go .25 first. You can go as high as .50. To answer you question it is both.

okay. that kinda answers my questions but not all the way..... my piston rings are fried so i need to buy new ones. i dont know if the stock offset is .25 or .50

I'd almost guarantee that they are .25, even aftermarket pistons usually give you those rings unless you ask for bigger ones. Being that's your motor, I'd say .25.

I the pistons are the ones that came with the motor from the factory then they are std. (standard). Meaning the pistons from the factory are std. I a pretty certain about this.

ok. well, if i were to replace my piston rings, would i have to get my cylinder honed?

You only need to hone the cylinders if the crosshatch on the walls are gone. So basically you need to have someone look at it and let you know what they think.
