Default Valve Nut Size

just a quick question... I got a 96 Accord LX, what is the valve nut size on it so I can adjust the valves? Thanks

just adjusted mine twice in the past week... (too much valve noise 1st time becaue I put them at .013) Now thay are a nice .009 ish
But ya, all you need is a 10mm box end wrench, and a screwdriver, plus a 10mm ratched for the cover, and a torque wrench to put it back on (86 in lbs)

can you give me some idea where i can find a tool to adjust it rather than the stupid snap on one that cost a fortune. what do you guys use?

Honda does make a special tool for this aswell... unfortunatly I don't have the tool# handy. Irs pricey though too and I mean... I personally never have trouble using a boxend / flat head on these SOHC engines. If I had a DOHC engine I might consider the tool as it gets a lil harder to hold the feeler.

It is a 10mm soze. The tollthat you can get is a 10mm jam nut vlve adjustment tool. They are pretty expensive but you can find them on ebay and amazon for about 12 to 15 dollars. just makes it more efficiaent but using a 10mm wrench an da screw driver is good too.
