Turbo prelude peeps, make sure you put a restrictor in your oil feed line.......
Since our cars routinely see 75ish psi oil pressure, and don't have bypass valves like the B series do to keep the pressure 50ish psi. The turbo setup has been great and the motor is doing perfect (it's been on a couple thousand miles and gets ragged on regularly) but the seals on the turbo were starting to go because of the oil pressure......so put a restrictor in your feed line to knock down the pressure!!! Some words of wisdom.......
I figure while the car is down I'm gonna ceramic coat the exhaust housing and manifold, powdercoat the IC piping, the valve cover, and some other stuff, adjust the valves, change the plugs, put in my hoodpins, and redo the oil return line
Also, if you emailed me within the last 2 weeks or so, please email again if you haven't gotten a response, my email took a dump on me and I lost a lot of messages
After all the above is done, I should be heading back out to the dragstrip (freshly repaved) on my new slicks to cut some 1.8 60fts and do some low 12's and maybe high 11's on 13 psi.....our camaro cut a 1.80 60 ft and trapped a 117 and did a 12.09 on the old pavement, so if I drive the crap out of the car, get a 60ft better than my 1.96 (like a 1.8), and gain 2 mph I think I can do an 11.9999999 @ 118ish

Can i use an oil cooler as restrictor?? Does an oil cooler drop the oil pressure at all??
Good luck at the track, and show some vids when your done.

An Oil-Cooler didn't drop the Presure. It simply goes in at one end and Out on the other. The presure is the same bevore and after the cooler.
Actually an oil cooler, and every other impediment, will drop pressure across it. Otherwise we'd all be using 1/8" dia hose. The pressure drop is related to flow too, if you have zero flow, the pressure drop will be zero, and vice versa.
I'll post pics of the restrictor when I get one, I might have a bunch made if people are interested in buying them.....

Sorry, a can nearly believe it. If all Parts in the Oil-Circle have the Same Diameter the Presure must be in all parts the same.
But i've no practical Experience in it. So it must be true waht you said.
Wish my english was better so i can explain it.

Do you ship internationally??? If so im interested.
How much oil pressure can a turbo handle?? I've never had an oil problem with my other honda's, they all had turbo to.

is this a common problem? I too am interested in a restrictor for my oil feed line, let me know.
Just use a -3 oil feed line. It's small enough to be a restrictor on it's own. -4 and bigger is likely to blow seals without a restrictor.
maybe thats why my **** was blowoin oil out the bov... i changed out the turbo.
I was running 3an line when the turbo blew seals......it was a combination of a bad oil return and the oil pressure.
Since then, I fixed my return and put a small K&N oil filter inline from oil feed to the turbo. Haven't had any problems since......the filter was like $50.....
