What times can you expect from a GSR with I/H/E swapped into a completely stripped EG? For the sake of argument, we'll say on drag radials. And, once I get more money, a cammed B18C with 12:1 (maybe 12.5:1 if it can be tuned that well) pistons and head work?

 

save your money for the b18c instead of wasting some of it on the gsr with the i/h/e and delaying your b18c....

That would be rather impossible, seeing as the B18C is the GSR motor... Maybe you are thinking B18C5, the IRT motor.

 

The B18C is the JDM GS-R motor (180HP 126ft/lb torque), the B18C1 is the USDM GS-R motor (170HP 121ft/lb torque)... Just to clarify. The JDM motor has 10 more horsepower and 5 more ft/lb torque than the USDM B18C1.

 

i thought a b18c was a GSR motor...? anyways, it all depends on the driver.

high 13's are easily attainable with good driving.

edit: he never specified wether it was a USDM GS-R motor or JDM GS-R motor.

 

Well, we'll say JDM, because more than likely it will be. Do you think with a sick, fully built set-up I can break 12s... That is, fully tuned with high compression pistons, headwork, and cams? This car will be my weekend warrior, so daily drivability is a non-issue. I would still like to stick with 92 octane, but beyond that, anything goes. I would still like to be able to drive it in traffic, but hey, wouldn't we all?

I thought the B18C could also be a JDM ITR motor?

 

oh man...not this again, the B18C is the code for both the Sir-G (GSR) and ITR motor in Japan. but anyway, with that sort of a setup...high 13's seem to be the norm. After the bump in compression and a cam upgrade mid to low 13's might be attainable depending on track conditons, driving skills, etc....go check out the drag forum and the new all motor forum for better results on your question.
