Default How does aftermarket Intake/Header/Exhaust affect fuel economy?

Aftermarket Intake/Header/Exhaust products improve the efficiency of the engine, thus, it should improve fuel economy. For those of you with I/H/E on your car, how much did fuel economy improve? Also mention what kind of engine you have. I'm particularly interested in hearing from those with SOHC VTEC engines.

I'm thinking about getting the following parts for my SOHC VTEC '97 Civic EX:

Comptech Icebox Intake
Comptech Header
Mugen Axle-Back Exhaust

Thanks!

better air flow will increase efficiency if the fuel system is tuned accordingly.

But as soon as you get your intake...you'll be flooring it all day long to hear the "growl"...lol

The Comptech Icebox is only slightly louder than stock and a lot quieter than most aftermarkets like AEM and Injen. That's what I like about it since I'm not that into loud cars.

I don't have a Comptech header yet. The parts I mentioned are my proposed engine upgrades.

If I don't change my driving habits, how will these modifications affect gas mileage?
