Prelude 2.0 si engine...
hey guys sorry for the noob post but.... I'm a civic guy..
my buddy is doing a motor swap on a prelude at his shop that bent valves... my question is..
Is this a b series block?
If not what is the block code... I can find out by monday but I'm just ancy cuz I may have just stumbled across a free motor...

yes, it is a B series engine, the code is B20A# (usually that last number is 5).
Despite what many people seem to say, it is pretty closely related to the other early b series engines. The bore is the same, same valve train design, and i've met a few people who have dropped the B20 crank into other B series engines. The big difference is that the engine is designed to sit at quite an angle so that it fits in the very low profile prelude hood.
