Default Dart Honda B series blocks

http://www.dartheads.com/blhonda.htm

Just wanted to get opinions. I come from old school Chevy back in the days, and Dart was always known to make excellent aftermarket heads.

Thanks,
Todd

Dart makes good stuff.

I was about [-] close to getting one, but that's all I would've been able to get. LOL and it would've been a 2K dollar paper weight b/c I would've had no money to complete the project.

I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a 2.0L solution.

Yes its a very good deal. You can bore up 86mm, it has improved cylinder construction, main caps, and fluid channels.

It's the textbook definition of "Bullet Proof".

Plus you can get the extended deck version and improve rod ratios without worrying about multi piece construction. Summit sells em for ~$2000.

Plus you don't have to worry if it was stolen or has a bajillion miles on it.

I have heard nothing but good reviews about these blocks. I will probably buy one in the not too distant future myself. I think that one or more of the import drag sanctioning bodies outlawed them though

I know they are banned in NHRA not so sure about IDRC.

Can you please explain more on this? You mean the block is taller than say, a stock B18C1 or B20? Would you have to get special rods for a longer stroke then?

I currently have a bone stock B18C1 swap in my hatch. What would you guys recommend I use if I got this block?

Thanks.

Todd, you'd only wanna **** with this if you were building a all-out setup...like a 10k+ All-Motor Setup and you wanted everything...

I might try one next year, but for you...I woudl just throw some CTR Pistons in that GSR and work on the Top-End.

OT: Monday night on the way back from ATL, me and my friend saw a Dart 18 wheeler truck filled with engine blocks.

I was scramblin in the back of my car trying to get my camera, but they exited before I could get a pic.

ok.... back to the topic. I just had to say I prolly saw about 50K dollars worth of engine blocks riding down the highway. lol
