Code 63 for 5th gen. Accord
I just installed a high flow cat. on my '96 Accord LX. The car drives fine, but after a couple of weeks, the CEL comes on now. I checked the codes and it appears that it is the O2 sensor. I did put the O2 sensor back on the new cat., so what could be the problem? I also replaced the O2 sensor with a brand new one from Auto Zone. It was the universal type that needs to be spliced into the stock harness. I did notice that one color on the new O2 sensor was different. On the stock O2 sensor, there are 2 white, 1 black, and 1 green. On the new one it is the same except that there is a blue wire and not a green one. If anyone knows what the problem is, help would be appreciated. Thanks!
code 63- ho2 sensor 2,,,,,,,,,,
do ecm reset and run car at 3k....
does lite come back on?
chek for loose connection,,,,,,,,,,,,
measure volt.......does it stay 0.3 or less.........if no,,,,,,reaplace o2
if yes......intermintent problem.........

I have reset the ECU a number of times, but about a week after doing this, the light comes on again. I am wondering if maybe the second O2 sensor (the one in question) might be reading a higher amount of exhaust gases due to the high flow cat., which in turn is causing it to read a different voltage. I would assume that it doing this would cause the CEL to come on. Could this be the problem? What's weird though is that I have driven the car, at one point, for about a year without the O2 sensor being attached, just plugged in. I was running a test pipe without a O2 sensor bung attached to it when I did this, and not once did the CEL come on or the car run bad.?
no man, wat you thinking is somewat wrong, but not all wrong...
obd2 care are really smart, it tell you wats going on.
anyway,,,,,when u have a high flow cat,,,,,,,and the secondary o2 sensor read higher volt.. than normal,,,it will set a code "cat detoration" and it would not set code 635
there fore i would not tink of your cat is the problemmmm.....u meantion u got a similar o2 but not identical............i think u should go get a honda stock 02 sensor and see if that fix the problem.

I might have to try getting another one, but then again, the new one I got was exactly identical. Like I said, the only difference was the blue wire on the new one. I just matched the white wires together, the black wires together, and then for the blue wire, I matched it to the green wire on the stock O2 sensor. It came with directions, and from what it seemed to me, this was what was supposed to be done.
