Just a quick survey style question.
The Helm's manual for my Teg says oil pressure should be above 10psi at idle, and above 50psi at 5000rpm.
Since installing my guage this weekend, I am usually around 20psi at idle, and stay cat or above 80psi while driving. I think I have too much oil in the car, but beore I drain some, I thought I'd ask what oil pressure you guys run while going 70mph in 5th gear at 3,000rpm. I have an LS, but GSRs and Type-Rs are welcome.
On a side note. My guage is a 2 5/8" one from Auto-Zone. I went to Lowe's and bought a 2" Diameter Black rubber pipe coupler. Shoved the guage in one end, and there was enough rubber hanging off the back to wedge in between the dash and the windshield. The guage sits tight and the rubber pipe coupler cost $5!
Thanks,
Karl

Mine will spike to 90psi and then dip back to 80psi while revving high. I think 90psi is when the pressure relief valve gets actuated. Is there such a thing as a pressure relief valve? I'll have to check my Helm's.
