Default DA teg alternator problem?

Ok it all started last week when i changed my oil and spark plugs. When i started up the car my battery light came on but everything was running well so i just ignored it. Well the other day it started acting up the battery light would come on but go off after a few minutes driving and wouldnt turn on everytime. Well yesterday i was driving and my battery light came on and then the radio started to cut out, then all of my accessories quit working(ie. turn signals, dash clock, shift indicator, warning lights). So i checked my battery and it has a full voltage. I removed the alternator and took it to Autozone and they said it was ok but a little on the low side. Has anybody had this problem or have an idea what is wrong?

yeah i would just get a new altornator, or try replacing the belts and making sure they are tight. i had the same thing and i just bought a new battary and got new blets and it was ok. But if they siad it was low i'd go with a new one.

I'm not sure how an alternator could be "low"

Here's what I would do:

Start up your car. Check your battery voltage. If it reads 14+ volts, you don't need a new alternator. If your battery voltage doesn't change (from when the car is off) you need an alternator.

By low I meant that it was charging 12.5v in an expected range of 12.5v to 14v. Well since i have it out and it is low i guess i will change it anyways. Any one else experience this?

how many miles are on your car? I'd just replace it if you've already got it out..DA alternators are notorious for dying around 100K
