So my brother and I went back to the track tonight.. I got down there late so I couldn't race, but that gave me a chance to film. He won the sport compact class, with the first 2 runs being alright, and the last two botched due to an empty N2O tank and missing 3rd each time lol. but hey, it kept him from breaking out. Anyhow his 3rd run was the highlight. Finally broke the 13 second barrier at a crappy track. Ran a 12.91 @ 110 mph. All stock internals, f-max kit with the NX fogger on the intercooler.. clutch, flyhweel, pullies, exhaust, LSD and 15" rims with decent slicks. Again, wish we had a better track around here. I'll post a link to the video as soon as I get it off of my friend's laptop. Who says stock internals can't handle 9-11 psi @ 9:1 comp ratio?

yeap, lower compression head gasket. The copper option from F-max
edit> (which btw we believe is leaking at the one corner.. which adds to the saying the copper head gaskets don't like to seal so you shouldn't really use them!)

it's a 97 base H22A4. It will be swapped out this fall (hopefully) for a new H22 sleeved with forged parts so the boost can be bumped more. Now that I took him to watch me Auto-Xing though I've heard he wants to try it pretty bad. maybe he'll get hooked and start in another direction though he's pretty well setup for that also.
Oh, and it's a full interior car, only internals changed were seat belts to harnesses, TenzoR seats, and under the hood all factory options still reside. i've been trying to tell him to rip some stuff out like A/C for weight, ABS for weight, power steering just for fun, etc

lol I know. But it would have been so much easier for us to put the damn turbo setup in had it not been there. The reservoir got in the way and needed to be bent back, and it was a paint trying to run the IC tubing with the powersteering pump in. Some things you just have to deal with I guess.

Easy, last two runs his nitrous tank was empty. Plus he managed to mis-shift 3rd. Otherwise his ET would have most likely been lower than 12.90 he dialed in (and beat by .01 on his 3rd run) because even w/o spray and missing he pulled about 13.7

no, it's slicks because there's no way he could hook up with street tires. Tried to use them back when he was doing 13.9's and it would just spin like crazy, or he'd have to launch super low and that sucks as well
