Default what do you boosted guys think of water wetter?

someone was telling me to stay away from water wetter and just run the standard 50/50 coolant /water mix because water wetter could result in a blown headgasket. This guy seems to know what he's talking about when it comes to other ****, but i wanted to get some more opinions on this one.

I ran a product called "Below 40". It is supposed to lower temps much more than Water wetter. These products do not necessarily drop temps that much...but they do slow/prevent the overheating process from occurring. I would recommend it if you are running into overheating problems while at idle, etc.

...as for causing head gasket issues, I don't think so...

You could also use a tea spoon of dish washing soap and still have the same effect. If you want a pretty purple color, just add food coloring.

Water Wetter is an anti-foaming agent. In your cooling system, nothing transfers heat as well as good ole water. Many racecars run straight water because any additives will lower its ability to take heat away.

Water Wetter works because the water that sits right next to a cylinder wall tends to foam up due to vibration. So, it's heat transfer ability is reduced.

Water Wetter is the only legal additive in 2 stroke shifter kart racing. I've used it since day 1 with good results. Coolant is illegal because if it gets on the track, man...it's like driving on ice. I usually run just a small amount of coolant though because of its anti-corrosion additives.

A few buddies of mine run Tide powder detergent and they swear that it works just as well. I have yet to be that brave.
