I've always thought that the B17 would be a good motor to toy around with considering its unique rod ratio of 1.62 I believe. Being is it is the same thing as a B16A1 other than the crank, rods and pistons, I see nothing wrong with fixing one up, I'm not sure who makes aftermarket rods for that motor, but I'm thinking eagle or cunningham should. Bore or sleeve it to 85 mm, and its a 1.8L with a slightly faster moving piston than the B16 for a little added torque.
I say build it, boost it and post the results.

Put the b17 crank and rods on the b16 block and have a 1.7L b16 or if you're looking to get rid of the crank then let me know cause i have an extra set of b17 rods laying around....
I know a guy with a 92 GSr,the one that came with the b17 motor. It was gutted with Nitto drag radials,i/h/e,intake manifold, fuel rail and fpr, real skunk2 ecu and skunk stage 1 cams and he did a 14.0X with it.
