what now? i only had one ket for my crx it fit the doors and ignition and i LOST it

Go with your VIN to the dealer, as long as you have proof that it's yourc ar you should get a key. Or call a locksmith, I guess.

 

This same thing happened to me yesterday while unloading my B17
from the truck that delivered it
I called my local honda dealer, we're on a first name basis at this point.
They said, "Bring your Drivers liscence,Insurance card, and registration."
They need proof that the VIN# is correct and belongs to you and they will
cut you a new key"

You can also yank your lock cylinder out, so you can just start your car with a screwdriver. I'd try what the others told you first though.

 

so honda still keeps 89 crx records on file? thats sweet! my closest honda dealer is over an hour away

What happens is we send your vin to Honda, and they send us a code to cut your key. The only problem is you will have to play with the key a bit because the key is brand new, you'll see what I mean we do it all the time.

Sand the burrs off.

 

Why wouldn't you get one cut BEFORE you lost it if you knew it was your only key???

You can also take the lock off of your door, it has a 4 digit code that you can take to a locksmith and they can cut you a new key.
