skunk2 or jg edlebrock intake manifold
im going turbo in like a week and im buying all my parts and having them put on all at once. i was originally planning on getting a skunk2 intake manifold, but the guy at my shop said the edlebrock is like $30 more but makes more hp. can anyone confirm this, think its worth it? btw i have a 99 ls. thanks.

haven't heard or seen anything like that but from all the info I have seen on it, it's only more efficient from 7-10k.

ITR manifold on my car... I've heard of some pretty decent HP gains over stock B16a/B18a or b.
Hell, Kubo went 9's on a Stock ITR that was Extrude Honed, how bad can it be?

alright, now im kinda confused...so whats the final verdict. i have an ls turbo, so i have a 7000 redline, but i have a turbo...? so im thinking of still going with the skunk maybe.
As far as i've seen, if you plan on making over 400whp and reving over 8500 then the jg will be best for your application. Anything less than those numbers you should go with the skunk 2. Bigger is NOT always better, it's about having the right combination.
skunk2 is the **** i would go with that its kind of more sleeperish you can get away with saying its stock to your buddies or anyone one else you talk story with on the street
ok Personally if your going turbo and going for power go with the biggest intake manifold you can get, not the most "sleeperish" lol....try looking into a venom intake manifold...if you want power the bigger the plenum the better...horse power is all about air and fuel...the more of each makes the car faster...but hey thats your opinion
im using the JG for the street and mines is running real good. i had the itr on mine to begin with, which to me is not to much different from the skunk. but for daily driving it not different at all only when i get from 6700 to 9700 is where i love it the most. i would go with JG all the way!!!i found in lower RPM it feels the same as my itr.
i havent dyno yet but going to shawn church real soon.

did you keep your comp ratio same as stock?

i agree with that, as well with some of the other thoughts.
if you're using higher boost levels with higher rpm limits (such as in a "track" car that may be driven on the street also) then go with JG IM for increased power. but if using a more mild turbo setup with less boost the Skunk2 IM should work great for most applications, good midrange and high rpm power. not just high rpm power like the JG IM.
i was going to sell my Skunk2 IM and buy a JG for my turbo motor, but i realized and decided that for my boost levels and targeted power output the Skunk2 would be best so i kept it.

good question, i'd like to know more about those other brands as well.
