okay ill tell you my set up and you can try to guess how much power im making
jdm b18c obd1, stock p72 computer, jdm itr header, no cat, ps, ac, cat, greddy sp cat back, skunk 2 intake manifold ported to 70mm with 70mm str tb, aem cam gears(still at zero) aem itr 3 inch CAI, Ctr intake cam, B and M fuel pressure regulator, Msd fuel pressure regulator, tuned with a v-afc, cant forget the red valve cover! Other variables , really dirty air filter from driving in the rain too manny times, over 3000k miles on oil, shitty spark plug wires, and 89 octane gas (dont ask why)

I orignally posted 172hp and 121trq. But I edited it quickly for some reason.
You run just the CTR intake cam?

yeah, the cheapest upgrade out there, (200 bucks) i wish i would of ran on a brand new air filter, 5w-30, new ngk spark plug wires and 91 gas, i think i would of pushed mid to high 180s, prolly 195 with an open header u think?

i didnt mean to say i have two fuel pressure regulators i said i have a b and m fuel pressure regulator, and i meant to say was i had a msd 6al ignition, and why you think prolly not? you hatting cause my set up is simple and putting out some decent power? Did you spend way more money and not yeild as much power or something? 13.2@ 102 and i havent even touched the internal or did any head work, thats with a chipped p28 and the fuel pressure turned down with the timing at 17 degrees.
are you mad because i didnt buy your p54 bracket? i tried to help you out by telling the other guy to buy it

Maybe with a new filter, new oil & filter, new plugs and wires you might of seen 180-182. Did you really just say you think you would make 195whp just by running open header? Man it is kinda early to be drinking already.

im not so shure because i had went to the dyno the previous week to get my fuel pressure regulator tuned and my my power was 179, and that was on 91, then i when i went back a week later to get my vtec controller tuned my baseline was 171 that was with 89, (even though i have never heard you loosing 8hp from 2 pts of gas
) they were able to bring it back up to 179 from 171, i dont know its weird. Open header helps alot escpecially on top when the vtec it hitting, i ran my engine open header when i first put in my engine with just intake and open header it almost pulled like it pulls now in vtec with the exhaust so i dont know, open header is great for the track because your in top end the whole time anyway, sux for dialy tho, too loud and no back pressure for bottom end, so its practically guttless below 5k i ran 13.2 at 102 with open header, chipped p28, timing at 17 degress with the fuel pressure turned down because of the ecu program

Theres no way open header gives you 10 hp. Sounds to me like you're getting a cocky about your setup. Be glad you are making 179 whp, and quit making excuses for not making 195.
Exactly what he said. In the world of N/A motors... you don't jump from 179 to 195 by tweaking little stupid things.
And for your info... I made 190 with full exhaust and 193 with a open race header.

im not being cocky, i might of well been pushing it on the open header gains but you can easly get 7hp to 10 hp on open header i think 190whp is a definite reality with further tuning on a chipped computer, my friend told me he could only tune it so far because of the stock p72 being dual butterfly, right now my afc is working to the fullest potential with the stock computer, im in need of a p30 or p28, i need to stop borrowing my friends comps when i go race

</TD></TR></TABLE>i dont even remember you were trying to buy it or not buying it. i dont pay attention to the author of the post, i only give my opinion. if my best frind wrote something i wouldnt even notice i just answer the ?. no i would never be jealous of you, my motor is much tighter than yours. but im not going to argue with you, only saying that your thought on power gains with NA motors are very unrealistic. Im sure i could make a stock R with hondata get about thte exact same numbers as yours so stop making it sound like your motor is tight. and about the internals thing, i know FI guys whove broken 500hp on stock motors, so your 179 NA isnt impressive

my friend pushed 192 with the same set just different throttle body 68mm, and an iceman intake vs aem itr cai, he had his cam gears tuned and his v-afc tuned on a chipped p28, it pays when the guy doing your tuning built his own 10sec all motor crx , i plan on getting a chipped p28, .030 headgasket, hondadata intake manifold gasket, and tuning the cam gears. I will push 190whp

Why would you get a thicker headgasket?

Not on stock internals in a GSR N/A. Keep dreaming though.

Post the dynograph, let me know what's done to it, all motor, and the inside can not be touched. Stock head, block, no milling port work etc... If so I will be impressed.
P.S. An OEM Honda 3-layer head gasket is .029". Thanks for playing though.
