NX N-tercooler?
Can you just add this to the car without getting it tuned? The car is a turbocharged Integra GsR, (360whp). The reason I ask is because it is going to be cooling the intake temps so much that I will be making more power and I need to know if I will need more fuel when spraying the NX N-tercooler system? Personal experience would be great, but all recommendations are greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
There was a post a while back where someone did a few dyno runs with it on a vw1.8t. The end result was with the n-tercooler the hp was consistant where as with out it would drop with each run (as the intake temp. would rise from engine heating the ic etc..)
Well I need to know if the car will run lean if it was not tuned with the NX N-tercooler system? Will the cooler intake temps which will be resulting in increased power cause my engine to run lean because no extra fuel is being added? No one has really answered my question. Please help if you know.
Total waste of money. I heard that they the hp claims they made was on a car that wasnt running an air filter. The no2 sprayed through the ic, through the radiator and then into the cold side of the turbo and eventually made its way into the combustion chamber......and thats how it made hp.
Ive read a dyno test from that Aus. website (i forget the name of it, really tech oriented and lots of DIY's) where they tested sprayed no2 on an intercooler and the gains made were very minimal, something like 2-3 hp at lower end of the graph where boost comes on.

Chances are you're going to run a bit leaner, but not from the cooler intake, it's going to be from some nitrous spraying through the intercooler, and getting sucked up by the filter and into the engine.

you can never say the whp gain theres no car the same it matter the the boost , turbo size, intercooler size and weather.
its even hard to get a true whp gain on the dyno becouse you dont have the 60+mph wind even with a fan.
if you have a 200-250whp engine on a like 8psi i cant see you getting to much whp from it your intake temp will not be to high anyhow
But if your making 400+whp and over 20psi i can see you getting a nice
I would think if you tuned your car in the winter or in the cold ,and you run your car on a hot day you going to run rich any how and by cooling your intake temp you gain the what you lost or more by cooling the intake temp
and yes i do have one and ill try mine on the dyno soon to see what whp gain get

I have the kit and it does make the engine run a little leaner but nothing too serious (if only used on the 1/4 mile) i did a dyno with it (1/2 full bottle) and it changed from liquid to gas about 5500 rpm but it did make more power..... 18 hp and 40 ft lbs... so dont say it doesnt work... the only thing is it does get to be a little pricy, a bottle will last about 3 runs.
i gain 27whp from it at 19psi my air/fuel didnt change much just went from 11.9 to 12.2 , if you tune it kinda rich it will besafe to do it with out tuning for it
BTW i used nitrous not Co2

I guess it depends on the price, I might be able to cobble one together with some copper/aluminuim tubing, and some solenoids.
dammit I'm a ricer, and I want to purge WHILE i'm BOV'ing, woot!
And ****, while I already have the nitrous in the car, I should be able to pull off a small shot on the turbo, heheh.
OH yeah, on topic, my opinion is it will be fine.

so it does help out... good to know.. anyone got a good deal for a kit?? i read that roby can get them for $310 shipped but that was a while back.. wonder if he still can get themm..
