Whats the difference between the two in terms of performance, and quality/reliability?

 

jdm has a lil more hp, depending on year. they all have internal coil distributors now, but the jdm ones have always had that, while usdm older ones (93-96) had external coils. the engines are identical (almost) so reliability is unaffected.

 

also remember that JDM h22 trannys are already equipped with a factory LSD

 

higher compression. 11:1 vs 10.6:1

 

some are equipped with lsd's, not all of them. . . . .

 

The only JDM H22's with 11:1 compression were the type s.
