Whats needed to take my B18B to a 2.0?
just like the title says, one of my friends said i should just drop a b20 complete bottom end on it. im not really sure what to do or how to do it so any help is good for me. thanks guys
Stroker = even worse rod/stroke ratio.
Resleeving with 84mm sleeves is easier, and most of the time cheaper too. Even with new forged pistons!

you would need to bore it to 84.5mm to make it a 2.0
but hey of your sleeving it you might as well go out to 85.5mm
86mm has been know to have a few more head gasket issues.

How much money do you have or willing to spend? This **** is not cheap.
I came about [-] close to converting my GSR block to 2.0L via Darton Modular Integrated Deck.
http://www.darton-international.com/mid.htm
That runs about $499 for the MID ($450 if you shop around) and the price of installation. If you get Darton to do it the price is: $499 for the MID and $600 for labor.
If you have $1900 bux FORGET about Resleeving. GET a Dart BLOCK best thing you could do. It's a solid sleeve/block out of aerospace quality C355-T6 virgin aluminum alloy.

I can sell you one of these if you want.
Then remember you'll need new pistons and **** like that. Sooooooo it's a lot of work and money.

84mm sleeves and 84mm pistons. That's it. Same crank and rods in both motors. If you have a bone stock B18B and you really wanna make it exactly 2000.00cc then get 84.5712mm pistons.
Isnt it true that if you resleeve your block to 84.5 you can just use any upgraded b20 piston meaning you dont have to pay up the wazzo for custom pistons?
You have a couple of choices. You can resleeve to 84-84.5mm. Or you can just buy a B20Z. If you are just going for a fairly basic setup, you might consider buying a B20Z. This will be MUCH cheaper and MUCH easier than sleeving an LS and buying pistons and other miscellaneous parts. On the other hand, if you build your LS, you can use higher quality internals. And if you live in California and need a smog legal setup, a resleeved B18A/B18B is the way to go. (Because of this and a crack in my B20 block, I will probably end up resleeving my mothballed B18B).
