Default Help w/ Timing belt slipping

When i got my valve adjustment done my mechanic said that my timing belt seems kinda loose. Anyways this was a month ago and lately when im in boost it seems to sputter as if it was detonating. so i'm guessing its the timing belt right ? Also other than yanking on the belt to see if theres tention or not, is there anyway i can verify that the belt maybe jumped a tooth ?

Hello, find TDC pull the TB cover and verify pulley TDC matches cam TDC. Voila!! You know know if the belt jumped a tooth.

To adjust tension, read your manual. it goes something like loosen tensioner, crank three teeth then retighten. Easy-peasy.

Hey thanks for the response, luckily i cut the valve cover to see the cam gears so i dont have to remove anything. I sure hope it did jump and this is the problem and nothing internal
