Stupid question about sparkplugs reading.

Stupid question about sparkplugs reading.
So people say I should read my sparkplugs after a WOT run. But shouldn't I let the car cool down (idle) before I turn it off?

actually you should read shut thde motor off at high rpms on the run. If its running rich or anything like that usually the plug will clean itself by the time it gets down to idle.
