Default Type-S piston question: Press fit or full float?

I have a 1994 H22A1 that I am having rebuilt, and I bought the Type-S .25mm oversized pistons for the rebuild, and what I need to know is will these pistons work on my stock rods? Currently the stock ones are Press Fit, but the Type-S pistons came with clips for the pin. Are these an either or fit? Press Fit or Full Float?

Thanks in advance.

floating pins on the s pistons... I used eagle rods.. I think u can have ur stock rods machined to accept floating pins.

Ok, where did you get your eagle rods? How much?

With the Eagle H-Beam rods, what do they weight compared to the stockers? Am I going to need to rebalance the crank now too?

Thanks again.

When you order the Eagles, be sure to get the right pin bushing diameter. There are two versions of that rod.

Actually they have changed that from what they are telling me, that there is one size they use now. FYI to those others that may search and find this.

I have type-s pistons and just reused my stock rods... they didn't need to be machined afaik...

Are the rods on the H22A4 different than the H22A1's? Because the Type-S pistons .25mm oversized are Full Float, pins with clips, and my stock ones were Press Fit, no pins. Are you saying they are compatible?

h22a4 rods shouldnt need to be modified to fit type s pistons, h22a1/a rods will need to be rebushed to work w/type s pistons

^^furry is correct, you should be able to use the stockers or you could just get the Type S
rods if you are looking other than stock.
