whats the widest tire you can use on a 5th gen?
Whats the widest you can possibly get without rubbing? This is just a decieding factor when I get rims, so it's not for stock rims or even a set rim width. I want to find the widest tires first, then match the rims to them

I run a 225/35zr18...it's close but doesn't rub even with my teins at their lowest. Any wider and unless you've got a perfect offset on whatever wheel you choose and you're likely gonna rub. Any particular reason for wanting extremely wide rubber?

Yeah, 235's the widest I've heard of without rubbing. You might be able to get wider in there, but not without modifying the brake calipers to not stick out as much so you can fit a higher offset wheel. Also depends on your negative camber.

nice ride, im surprised the 18's fit with lowered sus, i think 17's might rub on mine :\ but that might just be becaues i'm wearing falkens instead of like the lower profiled toyo's etc.
