help with jdm climate control install,
What type of car?
Removing it is a bitch. I took the whole gray plastic piece off. If I remember correctly there are a couple screws on the back side of that piece holding the climat control in.
Edit: This is for making it work in your car...
For an EG all you need to do is swap the face plates, and amber bulbs. The JDM climate control is electronic, and the US is mechanical.

jdmfan.com had a great step by step install.
Anyone know whats going on with that site?
You will need a long Philip's head screwdriver.
Take out your cd player and you center console.
Put your had in the cd player hole, put your fingers on
the inside lip closest to you. You should feel a screw head.
There is one on the left side and one on the right. After you take
out the 2 top screws, there should be one more towards the back
of the climate control unit. Give it a good pull and it should be out.
Make sure to disconnect the plugs. Go buy the longest Phillip's screw
driver you can find. It will be much easier.
