Default EG JDM Climate Control - Install???

Laugh about this if you want, I don't care. I bought a JDM Climate Control out of Japan for my EG without doing research. I thought it was a simple plug-n-play install but oh well. MY QUESTION IS are there any write ups on how to install this climate control??? If its possible. Any thanks is greatly appreciated.

You need a lot more than just the climate control unit. You also need the heater core and some other stuff. The JDM unit is electonic, the USDM version uses an air mix cable among other things. JDM climate control is sweet if you have the whole setup though.

Well damn, then I'll just swap the face plates and bulbs until I feel like finding the other items. Anybody know how to remove the faceplate then??? I can't get the levers to come off.

I read somewhere that all you had to do was change the AC Loom. Is this true?

in order get the climate control unit to work on the USDM car? i don't think that's correct.

the JDM EG6 also has a sensor built into the dash area (by the key/ignition or by the sunroof/dimmer/cruise switch area) that monitors cabin temp so that the 'AUTO' function would actually work.

even without that, you will notice that sliding the levers on the JDM unit provides a very smooth actuation...it's not cable actuated anymore, therefore you'll need the corresponding JDM HVAC/heater core unit as well.

This guy knows what he's talking about, a good friend of mine has a '92 EG6 SiR-S with the automatic climate control, believe me its very different, and very cool. that sensor you mentioned though actually doesn't seem to be a sensor, I was under the dash one day poking around and its basically just a tube that goes back to the heater core from what i can see, i assume theres a sensor in the heater core though that this tube goes to.

Thanks but I already knew how to do that.
What I NEED TO KNOW is how to get the heads for the sliders off of the slider arms. I don't want to break anything by trying to yank it off. If someone can show or tell me that would be greatly appreciated!

Pull the ***** off. Use pliers (wrapped with black tape to prevent scratching).
