Take off the front bumper and you can get to the cable that way. All you do is have to take it off and then pull the cable with a pliers or something.

Personally, I had to smack my hood a few times where the latch is and normally it'll pop up for me. While taking the A/C unit out, I bent the front peice and now my hood opens normally

Take a pair of pliars and grab the cable. You should be able to see it if you pull the handle as far as it will go. Once you have the pliars wrapped around the steel cable PULL. You may need someone to push down on the hood while you do that.

jack up the front end
get on your back like a hoe
look behind the bumper before the radiator
feel for the wire with your arm
follow it till it ends then use ur finger or a screwdriver or somthing to pop the latch at the source.

i had to do this once when my cable snapped
if that doesnt work
take a sledge hammer to your hood

you could also pull on the latch and have someone pull on your hood while you are doing it. Also make sure the cable is in the bracket by the latch in the cabin, sometimes it may come out of that little groove where it holds it to have tension on the cable.

when you get it opened ( I tend to wack the hood while pulling on the lever), lube the locking mechanism on the hood, it's the spring that tends to bind.

push down on the hood while some lifts the lever

if that doesnt work your gonna half to get dirty and get behindthe bumper.

yeah ever since i removed my hood for my swap and put it back on, it has never opened right. i always have to smack it in the middle near the fender while pulling the release then it pops.
