I did a long search to see if a 2000 usdem ecu would fit into a civic si. I dont want to do this but someone asked me if it would work and they might buy my ecu...finally. Thanks for any answers

 

well. are you talking about fitment, or is it compatable. i beleive you are asking if they will plug in. if i am not mistaking its plug and play. everything should work. but dont take my word

immobilizer? Could you explain a little bit for me but if its really detailed dont worry about it.

 

There is a theft deterrant device on 2000 up integras. There is a transponder on the actual acura key that transmits a code via a sensor around the ignition switch.
No key with correct code, the ecu keeps the car from starting.

The immobilizer is actually pretty easy to remove, but once removed, the CEL is ALWAYS on and will no longer blink codes.

I can't think of any reason why you would want to put an ITR ecu into an SI though.
