Default Installing Autogage Tach on 97 Civic Dx

Got my Autometer Autogage tach friday and went to install it today. The instructions say to attach the green wire to the negative terminal of the coil. I couldnt locate the coil on my car. So I was wondering where I hook up teh green wire. thanks in advance

I have an autometer autogage tach also!! I have an 1998 Honda Civic DX!!
I didn't bother with the coil because I was worried about messing up the tach! It is easier to hook up all the connections behind your Instrument cluster!! The tach lead...or green wire can hook up to the blue wire on the far left harness on your cluster! If you have any questions just ask.....i was confused about installing mine too! The instructions don't help at all.
You can try the autometer site...they tell you about hooking it up on a Honda
or this guys site!!! ....... http://home.mpinet.net/t-hero/Tach!!.htm

Hope this helps!!

Why put crap like that on your car. For about $100, you could go get a HX/EX factory instrument cluster and swap your Speedo/ODO into it, thus keeping it factory looking.

I personally like the 5" monster plus it has a shift lite you can set for racing......and it is cheaper than a cluster, only $85 dollars for my tach!
And why the hell would you want an HX cluster...if I was gonna get one, i'd go with an SI!!!!!

If that's what you like, go with it.
