I recently installed a Apex v-afc and changed my head gasket on my 93 Prelude Vtec. It was running ok but it couldn't idle very well for a couple of days. Actually it hasn't been idling very well for a while now. Anyways then all of a sudden the check light comes on. The code reads 21(Vtec code in the manual). I was told it was the TPS (Throttle Position Sensor) so i changed it. It drove but still couldn't idle. Then the check light comes on again, it Still reads 21. I notice my air/fuel ratio meter now just sits around the Lean area. I recheck the wires for the v-afc and found that i wired it wrong. Now im for sure it's wired right, so I bought another TPS and installed it. Now it wont idle, air/fuel meter still on lean, and check light still reads 21.
Is there settings on the v-afc that i need to set?
What are your Settings: Throttle position %?

Another though: Vtec kicks but redlines early at 6400. Supose to redline at 7400.
Also losing compression 180,155,155,155

 

r u sure your headgasket was properly installed?
