Front bumper damage
Coming home from the video store. Pull into my driveway, and scrape the passenger side of my front bumper. The sides of my driveway are wood, which caused the damage. Near the tire, there is a small tear in the bumper, and quite a few scratches. My driveway has a weird shape to it. It's straight, but curves out on both sides into the street. Now, should I just have the shop completely fix the bumper, and odds are they will have to paint the entire thing? Or should I just get a brand new 98-02 bumper, of my choosing, and get that painted?
I'm bringing it to the shop tomorrow, hopefully. Really need an estimate. Once I get this fixed, I'm definitely getting a lip. That, at least, will protect my bumper from this type of damage again.
need to drive safe with lowered honda..lol
get an estimate on the repair..
my friend just got a non-oem oem style front bumper for his teg and it's 150 buck paint. it fit like crap on his dc2 tho

Nice looking car, that's the color I wanted but my wife wanted beige ("heather mist"). Guess what color my '99 Accord LX 5-speed is? (though it was the only 5-speed I saw after four dealers, if I had seen a 5-speed dark green car I probably could have swayed my wife to that color)
Anyway, how big is the tear, and how noticable are the scrapes? Your car is going on 5 years old, it may be time to not try to repair it to mint condition. Can you somehow put some heavy glue on the tear to keep it from getting worse and putting touchup paint on the scratches?
If you want to paint the bumper, the cost will range from ~ $100 to $200 (per 1999, when I had my bumper painted after getting badly scuffed in a parking lot, the person left their number and paid for repairs).

Went to the shop earlier today. I know the shop owner, and he repaired the plastic that surrounds the front tire for free. It was a little loose. He also said that it's not worth fixing. I will need a new bumper. My plan is to get a lip, which will hide that nasty tear.
