Vacuum Noise.
G-Day, from the land Down-Under.
I've got a 2K ITR and my car's just developed a new noise.
It sounds like a vacuum leak. I'm about to go a try and track it down.
I can't here it when the engines running. But when I switch it off, there is Hissing noise for about 1 or 2 seconds. Vacuum leak? It's probably happening all the time, but I only notice it when I switch it off.
I've searched... No Joy. Just thought I'd ask before getting the tools out.
Has anyone had any vacuum issues with their ITR's.

Found it.
Got out the Pliers and started pinching some of the vacuum lines near the throtle Body. Starting and stopping the engine. Until I found a line near a solenoid that's mounted on the firewall just behind the T/Body. That when pinched and the motor stopped.....No noise.
However I don't know what it's called. But it's got a line to the Charcoal canister and the T/Body, so that probably makes it the Purge control solenoid.
It's only 03:05 here..... I'll call Honda after 09:00. Hopefully changing this out fixes the problem. Unless it's an electrical problem with the switch. I hope Honda will be able to tell me what it is from this discription.

Not induction sound, that would vary with Engine rev's.
It's a constant hiss, but it's nearly impossible to hear with the engine running. Once it's stopped, well that's when it's very noticeable. Well it is to me, My girl friend can't hear it at all and she thinks I've lost-it.
