Default Type R swap into a 93 del sol si

Hey

I got a friend that works as a manager in the mechanic shop at a honda dealership and he told me he could do a type R engine swap for 2500 dollars.....is this a good deal and would my 93 del sol Si be able to handle the increase in power and torque (ie: the transmission, suspension, etc....) or do I need to buy another car?

Thanks.

If he is charging $2500 for labor, thats a rip off. If that includes the complete changeover sign me up. ITR motors sell for around $5400+ at most places. I actually have a complete 97 JDM ITR motor for $5K if anyone is interested.

But $2500, i think your being mislead.

if that includes the engine, you better be darn sure you know where the engine came from, because that price is waaaaaay too low. You might also want to be sure it works. They'll swap it, sure, but maybe it's missing a piston or something.
