Re: Just got a 93 Del Sol
haha the sad story of owning d15 S series.
if you go turbo keep the d16 in there.
if you go NA read then read then read, then pick a motor and do more reading.
use google and search before you ask too its likely been asked 100 times. enjoy.

Lots of reading! Check out www.DSOC.co.uk for lots of sol related info. Lots of reading needed. May be worth a b18 swap. not too expensive if your willing to wait and shop around a bit

Re: Just got a 93 Del Sol
Thanks all. I have a D16. Wasn't interested in doing an engine swap just wanted to share ideas on how to fix it up. So far i'm changing out all the bushings and putting some skunk2 lcas. Appreciate all the warm welcomes.

Re: Just got a 93 Del Sol
I have the D16Z series, anyways my technical question is more body exterior related. I love the car but i'm experiencing leaks between the removable roof and my driver and passenger windows. any suggestions? i've heard there's rubber seals that i can use but haven't found any. i don't want to go the caulking route. If this question isn't technical enough RonJ let me know. Still figuring out the forum and how to navigate. I know i'm a newbie and i will RFF :D
Thanks.
Thanks.

Re: Just got a 93 Del Sol
Try a rubber conditioner.
I recommend a bottle of Einszett brand "Gummi Pflege Stift" (German for 'rubber care stick'.
It's like a shoe-polish applicator bottle. On a warm day, just apply the stuff on all of the rubber parts. It doesn't make the rubber as good as new, because that's impossible, but for $10, it makes a huge difference. I haven't been using it for too long, but I would bet that it would absorb deeper into the rubber over time if you kept applying it.
Considering that the seals are like $400 for a new set, I would start with the Gummi Plege Stift for $10 and go from there...
Good Luck
