A powerful shop vac will get the old glass out. When you take the door panel off, you will see the way the window bolts in. I believe it's only two bolts...

The handle has a little ring piece near the base, you have to pull that ring off so you can remove the handle.

You're supposed to get a specific tool to pull it off. I got violent, pulled back the handle as far as I could, and used a long set of pliers. But I was furious, I'm not sure if I'd recommend this for you

its not in there

tells u how to remove the dash but thats about it
the haynes manual is all exterior/engine work nothing about interior except dash removal
so does anyone know whether i can just pull the damn ring off over the handle? or wat?

My Haynes manual had information on how to remove my door panels (for a '99 Accord), take another look at yours.

Here is what the tool to remove your door handle looks like: http://www.midlock.nl/Adobe_en...s.pdf

you don't need the tool to remove it, it just makes it a lot easier. It's been 10+ years since I've removed a door handle, but as I remember it there is a ring shaped like a horseshoe that slips over the back of it, you have to pull that ring off.

Re-read the Haynes manual, it's gotta be in there.

Uhh, the Haynes manual for the 4th gens DEFINITELY has it in there. I know, I used it on my 92. Check again, it's in the section on door trim removal.

If you really want to know, I had the handle pointed upwards when I started. I pushed the door trim in as far as I could while pulling back on the handle. The ring runs around the base of the handle if I remember correctly. I took the pliers, and pulled the ring off (the ring is open at the bottom, you'll see, so it comes right off). I had to pull the handle pretty hard to get enough space to do it, maybe you'll have an easier time.

Get the longest, narrowest pliers you can, it'll make things easier.

In your haynes manual for a 90 through 93 Accord, take a look at page 11-8. The picture in the center of the page, and it's description, will show you exactly what the clip looks like and how to remove it.
