which tranny would be best with a b20 in a EK? would yall prefer 99 b16a2 or a JDM gsr??

 

Get the b16 if your going all motor because of the shorter gears.Gsr would be better for boost since the gears are the longest out of both trannies.

So wait longer gears make you accelerate quicker? Weird. I better go tell all my "boosted buddies" to go buy LS trannys then. Or wait maybe better. Maybe we can run an auto CRV set-up. Traction and consistancy!

 

Will this be a B20 or a B20Vtec?

Keep in mind, stock B20 don't rev high and a tranny with too short of a ratio will top out before 160km/h.

My J1 tranny on a stock B20 would top out 5th gear right around that.

 

its going to be a stock b20 for now and will put a b16 head on later...i might just go with a gsr tranny for now..
