wow... 75 shot sounds scary on the SS tranny. What part of Houston are you located at?

 

I'm on the NW side. She is going under surgery this weekend. Hopefully she will be alot stronger after this weekend.

 

yua, no offense they are slow. a five speed would be in the 13's w/those mods. (at least a 4th gen would be)

 

Tru tru my buddies hits 13.2~13.4's all day. But a auto running 14's is very decent. Good enough to beat alot of cars in the street. Hopefully 13's soon on a auto. Hehe. 5th Gens mind u.

 

I have seen Dodge caravans run 12's with Naws. But hey good times

I still think SS Prelude are still slow only until you add a 50-75 shot of NOS, cause thats the only way you'll make them fast

Plus, It'll help destroy the SS tranny faster, so you can get a 5-spd instead!

wow. that statement really pissed me off right there. im driving a 5th gen SS and i love it more than any car i have ever been in and to have you cut it down like that just gets on my nerves

 

I think you're misinterpreting what luder94si was trying to say. The auto tranny in the 5th gen is sub-par because of reliability and performance problems. There have been a lot of issues with trannies being rebuilt, replaced or swapped out for 5-speeds. There's a web board dedicated just to the tranny problems (http://groups.msn.com/HondaSportshif...pgmarket=en-us). Also, the SS tranny robs so much of the motor's potential. Just look at the performance differences compared to the 5-speed. BTW....I have a SS
Prelude too. Love the car but I wish I had a 5-speed.
