Si head on Hf block

Default Si head on Hf block

will a 1.6L Si head mount on a 1.5L Hf block?

it might mount on there but the hf pistons have only 2 valve reliefs (thats what i have heard...ive never had the head off one) so the pistons will more than likely hit the valves.

so youd have to change the pistons...just save for a d16a6 swap, you can get a complete swap for somewhere around $300 (dont quote me on that though)

I have done it before. they don't hit but its dangerous.

WAIT a minute, are you talking about puting a b series head on a d series block?
If so, it wont work.

My brother has the swap on his CRX and he milled his head 30 thousandths and it runs fine with no problems. When we were swapping the heads we thought the same thing about the valve reliefs and were even more worried because we milled the head but after all was said and done it ran awesome.

i dont doubt that, one of my friends had an 89 CRX DX and we swapped a sohc zc head onto the d15b2 block, that little sucker SCREAMED

Will a stock d16a6 or d15b7 work onto the stock hf block?

so the SOHC ZC head will fit on the d15 block also? I assume that the D15B2 and the D15B6 are pretty much the same block and the only difference between the engines is the heads? right?
